We are seeking a groundskeeper/caretaker, ideally to start in July 2026. Reporting to the
Factor, the role would suit a single person or a couple. The location has a rural aspect
but is close to good local amenities. Due to the nature of the work, the role is a live-in
position but duties will equate to a part time role.
The duties will include but are not limited to:
• ensuring the residence is clean and secure, and preparing guest bedrooms for
occasional use by the family’s guests,
• maintaining the garden and grounds (grass cutting, hedge cutting, gardening, leaf
gathering, trimming etc.),
• supervising and monitoring the property’s utilities and services, including the
wood chip central heating system.
• maintaining garden machinery,
• supervising contractors from time to time.
The role will require a flexible, hands-on approach and excellent interpersonal skills;
being a live-in position it is client-facing, so a cheery, can-do demeanour is essential.
Previous experience of similar work is desirable but not essential. The time commitment and the range of duties both have room to expand based on the successful candidate’s skills and experience.
The location is within close proximity of Dingwall which provides local amenities such as supermarkets, GP surgery and pharmacy.
Remuneration, etc, will depend on experience. Accommodation and utilities are provided at no cost.
