Grouse Beatkeeper - Ref 1703 Date: February 9, 2026

A passionate and enthusiastic beatkeeper is required for a prestigious beat on the Swinton Estate grouse moor. Working for one of the sporting tenants on the estate, Segar Services Limited operates across approximately 15,000 acres of land of which 9,000 are heather moorland which is split into 4 beats. The individual will be responsible for their beat working as part of a team and in close conjunction with the headkeeper.

Much of the infrastructure is in place and the team are well equipped through the well-resourced employer. Duties will include habitat management covering heather burning and cutting as well as rush control, predator control, grit distribution along with some infrastructure works. Machinery operation will be a key requirement for the role. The majority of the shooting is undertaken by the principals.

There is a three-bedroom detached property with kennels and storage buildings available along with a pick-up and quad bike. Full clean driving licence, shotgun and firearms certificate and working dogs required. Attractive and competitive package available for the right candidate.
