Sports & Amenity Operator

Our Sports & Amenity sector is dedicated to serving a diverse range of sports facilities and amenity clients, working with grass roots clubs and facilities to professional sport venues. The Sport & Amenity team are specialists within the cricket and winter sports pitches, our services include but are not limited to, irrigation solutions natural turf, artificial turf, bespoke cricket nets, earth moving and laser grading, hard landscaping, and soft landscaping.

Description:

We are looking for an experienced general sports and amenity operative that can undertake a range of tasks. The ideal person will have at least 3 years’ experience of working on specialist renovations across an array of natural turf pitches.

Responsibilities:

• Sand spreading

• Scarifying

• Verti-draining

• Grass cutting

• Navigating to our multiple sites

• Preparing machinery

• Competent, experienced tractor operator

Experience

• Knowledge of sports pitch renovations

• PA1 &PA2 Spraying Certificate desirable, but not essential

• Experience with natural turf maintenance

• Good customer relationship

• Keen eye for detail

• Full drivers’ licence

• Working under own supervision or within a team

• Must have a valid driving licence

• Competent, experienced tractor operator

• Previous experience in general grounds maintenance duties

• Good knowledge of Health and safety

Qualifications:

NVQ 2 in Greenkeeping / Sports (desirable not essential)
