Simulated Game Shoot Host

Role: Freelance / Casual

Location: Thimbleby Shooting Ground

Working Pattern: Flexible, including weekends

The Role

We are looking for an experienced and personable Simulated Game Shoot Host to lead and

coordinate simulated game shooting experiences.

You will be the main point of contact for visiting shooting parties, ensuring the day is safe,

professional, enjoyable and runs to schedule.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in game shooting, good knowledge of

clay shooting and shooting etiquette, and the confidence to read the room and adapt to

different groups and abilities.

Key Responsibilities

Act as the main host and point of contact for shooting parties.

Manage and organise the gun line safely throughout simulated drives.

Ensure strict compliance with gun safety regulations and shooting etiquette.

Keep the event running smoothly and to schedule.

Coordinate with trap loaders, catering team and game keepers..

Ensure equipment, ammunition and associated stock is correctly organised,

monitored and accounted for.

Provide a welcoming, attentive and professional experience for guests.

Liaise with the wider Thimbleby team to ensure the smooth delivery of each event.

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

Experienced in game shooting, with a good understanding of clay shooting.

Knowledgeable about shooting etiquette, safety and traditions.

Confident managing groups and comfortable leading a gun line.

Punctual, organised and reliable, with excellent time management.

Attentive and able to “read the room” and adapt to guests.

Well presented, personable and professional.

Flexible and available to work weekends.

Comfortable working independently and as part of a wider team.
