An exciting opportunity has arisen to join one of the River Spey's most respected salmon fishing beats.

Arndilly Fishings is seeking an enthusiastic, hardworking, and personable River Ghillie with a genuine

passion for salmon fishing and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. Working

alongside the existing team, you will play a key role in maintaining the high standards and reputation of the

beat while ensuring guests enjoy an outstanding fishing experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Guide and assist guests throughout their fishing experience, providing expert advice, and

impeccable knowledge of the river.

• Deliver a welcoming, professional, and attentive service, ensuring guests are well looked after at all

times.

• Maintain estate fishing huts, riverbanks, equipment, and other beat infrastructure to a high

standard.

• Ensure the beat, facilities, and equipment are presented in a clean, tidy, and professional condition.

• Maintain accurate catch records and prepare reports as required.

• Provide a visible presence on the river to help deter poaching and report any concerns to the Head

Ghillie.

• Assist with habitat improvement works, river maintenance, and other estate duties as required.

• Work safely and responsibly in accordance with estate policies and relevant health and safety

legislation.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful applicant will:

• Have proven experience in a similar River Ghillie or fisheries management role.

• Possess excellent knowledge of Atlantic salmon fishing and river craft.

• Be personable, professional, and confident when interacting with guests.

• Take pride in delivering exceptional customer service.

• Be self-motivated, reliable, and capable of working independently as well as part of a team.

• Hold relevant qualifications or certificates for the safe operation of off-road vehicles, chainsaws,

pesticides, or other estate machinery (desirable).

• Hold a full, current UK driving licence.

• Have the legal right to work in the UK.

• Be available to commence employment from January 2027
