🌿 Job Vacancy: Game Farm & Shoot Assistant

📍 Location: Brough, East Yorkshire

🕒 Start Date: Immediate

💼 Type: Full-Time (following 3-month probation)

💷 Salary: Based on experience

We’re looking for a hard-working, motivated individual to join our team on a well-established game farm and shoot in East Yorkshire.

This is a varied, outdoor, hands-on role ideal for someone with a genuine interest in game birds or looking to start a career in gamekeeping.

👉 No experience needed - full training is provided on the job.

🔧 Main Duties Will Include:

· Feeding (on the farm & shoot)

· Cleaning sheds and equipment

· Setting up sheds & pens

· Bitting

· Loading/unloading birds for deliveries

· Working with young chicks & adult birds

· Assisting with preparation for shoot days

· General maintenance (e.g. repairing/building pens, cutting tracks)

✅ Requirements:

· Full UK driving licence (essential - travel between sites required)

· Willing to learn and get stuck in

· Reliable and self-motivated (including early starts)

· Good attention to detail

· Comfortable working outdoors in all weather

· Able to adapt to hot, dusty conditions

· Physically fit (able to lift 25kg feed bags)

⭐ Preferred (Not Essential):

· Interest or background in gamekeeping, farming, or countryside work

· Tractor driving experience

· Useful tickets:

o Telehandler / Forklift

o Chainsaw

o Spraying

o Brushcutter

o UTV/ATV

📅 Working Hours:

· Summer:

o Minimum 40 hours/week

o Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm (30 - 60 min lunch depending on workload)

o Some weekend work on a rota during peak season

o Regular overtime available

· Winter:

o Minimum 30 hours/week (may increase with workload)

o Flexible over any 4 days to suit personal circumstances
