Vacancy Full Time Sales Assistant – Gun Room
Location Ian Coley Sporting, GL54 4AX
Ian Coley Sporting is one of the UK’s leading destinations for game and clay shooters. We are currently
looking for a Sales Assistant to join our Gun Room team, with a primary focus on the sale and
management of shotguns, firearms, airguns, cartridges and shooting accessories.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for shooting sports to work in a dynamic,
customer-facing environment.
Main Responsibilities:
· Assisting customers with purchases of shotguns, rifles, airguns, ammunition, and shooting accessories · Booking in new and second-hand guns and managing listings on Guntrader · Valuing and purchasing second-hand guns · Advising customers on repairs and servicing options · Supporting with stock reordering across guns, cartridges, and accessories · Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers and suppliers · Answering phone calls and emails in a timely and professional manner · General shop upkeep and housekeeping · Assisting with cashing up and banking at the end of day
Ideal Candidate:
· Enthusiastic about shooting sports, with sound knowledge of firearms, shotguns, ammunition and shooting accessories · Experience in a similar retail environment or gun room is a bonus, though not essential · Excellent communication and customer service skills · Confident, organised, and proactive with good attention to detail · A Shotgun Certificate or willingness to obtain one · Comfortable using IT systems

This role involves weekend work (Saturdays only). You will need access to your own transport as we
are based in a rural location.
