Relocation to the Isle of Jura required

Experienced housekeeper needed for small family-run, self-catering business on the Isle of Jura

£16/hour

March-October core season

This role is advertised as seasonal for the 2026 season, with the intention of finding someone who may wish to settle long-term on Jura if it proves a good fit for both sides.

The role:

Changeovers for 4 properties (sleep 2 each)

High standards - immaculate presentation for guests Stock management, hot tubs/sauna, light gardening

Proactive - spot issues and deal with them independently

Occasional Islay cover (vehicle provided)

We need someone who is...

Comfortable working independently on a small, remote island

Someone who's done this before and does it well Organised, independent, reliable, good communication skills

Physically fit (manual work)

Full UK driving licence

Strong references

We offer:

• 30+ hours/week summer, ~20 winter

Temporary accommodation while we help secure Jura rental

Performance bonus (£1,000 if transitioning to a permanent role)

If you're an experienced housekeeper who can work independently and take ownership of day-to-day operations, the role and rate are negotiable for the right person.

Jura has a strong local employment network, and so if you want to bring your partner, we can help them find work locally through estates, the golf course and other island businesses.
