Experienced Gardener/ Grounds Person - Ref 1670 Date: January 12, 2026

We are seeking a experienced Gardener/ Grounds Person. The ideal candidate will possess a strong interest in horticulture and landscape maintenance, with practical experience in gardening tasks. This role offers an opportunity to work outdoors on private grounds. The successful applicant will be reliable, self motivated with a strong work ethic and required to work across all areas of the property as required. 4 Days per week (30 Hours) £15 per hour.Duties

• Planting, pruning, watering, and fertilising plants to promote healthy growth
• Using hand tools such as secateurs, spades, and rakes for garden maintenance
• Operating power tools - Ride-On & pedestrian lawnmowers, hedge trimmers, chainsaws, strimmer's and leaf blowers safely and efficiently
• Weeding flower beds and lawns to maintain aesthetic appeal and plant health
• Mowing lawns and trimming hedges to specified standards
• Assisting with landscape design projects and seasonal planting schemes
• Monitoring plant health and identifying pests or diseases for appropriate treatment
• Maintaining equipment through routine cleaning and basic repairs
• Basic Property Maintenance

Requirements

• Proven experience in gardening, horticulture, or landscape maintenance is highly desirable
• Practical knowledge of using hand tools, power tools
• Growing experience with various plants, flowers, shrubs, and trees
• Strong understanding of horticultural principles and sustainable gardening practices
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Organised with good attention to detail in executing tasks efficiently
• Physical fitness to perform manual labour including digging, lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
• Must be able to drive an Agricultural tractor and have a Full driving Licence
