Beatkeeper Required - Ref 1662 Date: January 9, 2026

Okeover Shoot is situated on the Staffordshire/Derbyshire border on the southern edge of the Peak District, we are seeking a beatkeeper to join the headkeeper producing around 30 driven days a season. The role requires an honest and trustworthy individual who is motivated to work to a high standard with good communication skills and a dedication to the role.

The role will include:
Responsibility for your own pheasant pens and drives
Vermin and predator control
Maintenance and upkeep of pens and machines
Running the beating line
Construction of new pens
Habitat creation/planting
Assisting with rearing partridges
Working with the headkeeper and keeping good relations with estate tenants
Working to a high standard with attention to detail

Applicants should have:
Three years experience
Clean UK driving license
Shotgun and firearms licenses
Working dogs
Chainsaw and ATV certificates preferable
References available

The position comes with a 2 bedroom house with 4 kennels situated on the estate, a vehicle and ATV.
