We have an opening for a Trainee Pest Control Technician to join our busy, happy and tight-knit team.
We have a 6-month settling-in period for the job so you can give it a go and see if it suits you.
It is an exciting opportunity to use what work-experience you might already have, to extend your knowledge across all aspects of pest control and learn a lot of new skills.
The work involves problem-solving, being resourceful, delivering customer service and getting the satisfaction of a job done well.

• We are a reputable, professional, family-run pest control business based in Perth, covering Perth & Kinross, Fife, Dundee and Angus. • Our work is interesting and varied so no two days are the same.• We have a wide range of customers (agricultural, commercial, institutional and domestic) and you would be out and about in many different places.• We do mole trapping and gassing, rabbit-proofing, rabbit control using all different methods, squirrel control, bird control and bird-proofing, rats and mice and a full range of insects such as wasps, bees, ants and many more.• We have a can-do mentality and are focused on providing great customer service.• Our management system is not multi-layered and ‘top-down’ but, instead, is mutually supportive with open communication between all of us: an ideal work environment to learn and progress in.
What we are looking for
• Someone who has a genuine interest in learning and developing new skills and will make the most from the training we provide. • Good communication skills.• Ability to work independently.• Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.• Resident in our core service area.• A full driving licence.• Basic Disclosure is required.• Able to work with ladders and at height: training will be provided.
We will provide
• Fully expensed and equipped company vehicle and fuel card.• PPE and all other equipment.• 28 days annual leave including bank holidays.• Initial and continuing professional training leading to the Level 2 Award in Pest Management.
Wage
• Starting at £29,800 per annum and rising depending on age and experience.
