Job Title: Tackle Shop Supervisor & Fishery Maintenance Team Member
Location: Wylands Farm, Battle, East Sussex
Employment Type: Full-Time, Multi-Role (Shop & Fishery Grounds)
We’re seeking a proactive and organised individual to take on a multi-role as Tackle Shop Supervisor & Fishery Maintenance Team Member. This unique position combines retail management with hands-on fishery maintenance and customer service. The role involves working outdoors in all weather conditions and contributing to a wide range of maintenance tasks across the lakes, grounds, and facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee daily tackle shop operations, including stock control, ordering, sales and customer service.• Support the Fishery Manager with grounds, woodland, and lake maintenance, including mowing, strimming, planting, and minor repairs.• Operate and maintain machinery such as tractors, mowers, and chainsaws safely.• Act as a bailiff when required, assisting anglers and ensuring fishery rules are followed.• Stay on-site at least two nights per week (accommodation provided) to ensure site security and customer support during overnight sessions.
Skills & Experience:
• Experience in retail or fishery management, practical maintenance skills, and ability to operate machinery.• Knowledge of fishery management, land maintenance, and health & safety practices.• Full UK driving licence; flexibility to work weekends and overnight shifts.
