Housekeeper, Full Time,
Aberdeenshire.
Glenbuchat Estate is seeking a full time Housekeeper to assist with the management of its eleven- bedroom sporting lodge.
The role will involve overseeing and assisting with all aspects of housekeeping and maintenance for the Lodge and the associated shoot outbuildings. Ensuring all areas of accommodation are always clean, laundered and maintained to the highest standard.
The role will require taking overall responsibility for providing first class hospitality to all guests, including family and overseas visitors.
Experience in the hospitality sector is required, and the right candidate must be confident in a front of house position and trained in silver service.
Experience in inventory keeping and knowledge of wine would be an advantage.
The Housekeeper will be responsible for ensuring all aspects of Health and Safety and Fire safety are followed and see that routine maintenance logs are carried out.
The candidate would need to be able to lead and manage our small team of part time staff, including our resident chef during the peak season - July to February - arranging staff rotas and organising additional staff as required.
The right candidate should have an excellent work ethic and must be capable of good time management and forward planning. It is essential to be flexible with working hours throughout the peak periods and be prepared to work evenings and weekends when required, understanding TOIL can be taken in quieter periods.
This role works closely with the gamekeeping and estate staff and so it is essential to be able to work as part of a team. An understanding of working sporting estates is a benefit but not essential.
Applicants should hold a full UK driver’s license. A basic food hygiene certificate is desirable but otherwise training will be provided. A competitive package is offered including accommodation.
