House Manager, Full Time,


Glenbuchat Estate is seeking a full time House Manager to help manage our 10 bedroom sporting lodge. This role will involve overseeing all aspects of housekeeping and maintenance, leading a team of part time staff, including private chefs, and taking overall responsibility for providing first class hospitality to all guests, including family and overseas visitors.

The right candidate should have an excellent work ethic, be happy managing a team of staff during the peak season (July to February) but also comfortable working alone in quieter months. Evenings and weekend work will be required in peak season.

Experience in the hospitality sector is essential, and the right candidate must be confident in a front of house position. Ensuring that the lodge is prepared for guests and impeccable standards are maintained is essential.

This person must be capable of good time management and forward planning, and be flexible with working hours or days throughout peak periods, understanding that TOIL can be taken in quieter months.

The House manager will be responsible for ensuring all aspects of Health and Safety and Fire safety are followed and see that routine maintenance logs are carried out. Experience in inventory keeping and knowledge of wine would be an advantage.

This role works closely with the gamekeeping and estate staff, so an understanding of working sporting estates is a benefit but not essential.
