Gamekeeper, single handed position for family estate close to Copenhagen in Denmark

We seek a motivated Headkeeper for a Spring 2025 start. Lindholm estate extends ca 3.000 acres with a further 250 acres over which shooting rights are leased. The shoot is concentrated on ca 2.000 acres and consists mainly of driven released pheasants as well as ducks, pigeons and roe- and fallow deer.

- Responsibility for release of 4-6 weeks old pheasants and management

- Responsibility for holding and arranging ca 5-6 large 1-day commercial shoots (5-6 drives per day) as well as 3 days for the family.

- Managing and developing roe- and fallow deer on the estate.

- Driving good relationship with existing large team of helpers, mainly picker-ups and beaters.

- Helping to maintain good relationships with neighboring farms over which shooting rights are leased.

- Working closely with the family to develop further the quality of the shoot at Lindholm estate and maintaining long shooting tradition, culture while ensuring all codes of good conduct and best practice are upheld.

The successful applicant will have experience in releasing 4-week old pheasants and managing these incl feeding and watering, general game experience and a good knowledge of conservation. Additional duties will include running maintenance of the in total 14 drives on the estate, incl planting, cutting and maintaining the vegetation.

We are looking for a hard-working, well organized, enthusiastic, honest and well-humored candidate with good team-player skills who is willing to go the extra mile to develop further our shoot to establish itself again as one of the best pheasant-shoots in Denmark.

The successful applicant will be responsible on his own to host and manage all commercial shorts on the estate, where a respectful and well-rehearsed treatment of our long-time esteemed clients is of utmost importance.

Lindholm estate has been in the family of the Baron von Plessen since 1727 and lies 45 km. West of Copenhagen near Roskilde at the end of the Roskilde Fjord. We will provide a comfortable high-standard accommodation on the estate and an attractive annual salary.
