Head Keeper – Private 5,000 acres Estate Hampshire

A position has arisen for a head keeper on a well-established shoot in North Hampshire.

This exciting and prestigious position will include the responsibility of all aspects and requirements of game keeping and will require the highest standards are kept for the rearing and overseeing of game birds, their welfare and environmental management. A thorough understanding of affective predator control and conservation management, including grey partridge and other red list species habitat, are also of high importance.

As a minimum the successful applicant will:

· Hold a full driving licence, along with full licences for shotguns and firearms

· A proven track record of managing a shoot including budgetary control

· Ability to work as part of a wider Estate team

· Strong understanding of health and safety standards and their application

· Experience of Countryside Stewardship and other environmental grant schemes
