Head Gamekeepers Position - Ref 1274 Date: May 24, 2024

Highland Perthshire

Head Gamekeepers Position, Highland Perthshire

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced and ambitious gamekeeper on a private Estate in Perthshire. The family owned Estate, shooting over around 900 acres, has been developed as a successful lowground shoot for Pheasant, Partridge and Duck. Red and Roe stalking are also undertaken by the family.

The Estate undertakes approximately 20 driven days shooting each season, most of which are family days. The Estate has a strong desire to build upon its biodiversity offering and this will form part of the job alongside the sporting provisions.

The successful applicant must have a minimum 5 years’ experience in the shooting industry and the self-motivation and ability to work as part of a team or on their own. The Estate prides itself in the quality of its sport and the presentation of the wider Estate, therefore a keen eye for detail is essential.

Applicants must also have a full UK driving license, valid shotgun and firearms certificates along with ATV, sit-astride and chainsaw certificates. Further training will be provided as required.

The position comes with excellent terms, including first class accommodation that was fully refurbished in 2020 to include outbuildings and kennels and a competitive salary based on experience for the successful candidate.

A job description is available on request. The position is available immediately or by 1st August at the latest.

Please enquire to and submit a covering letter and CV to Lucie Howatson at lucie.howatson@galbraithgroup.com.

The closing date for applications is 12pm 7th June 2024.
