Head Bailiff - Ref 1635 Date: November 21, 2025

Due to retirement, an exciting opportunity has arisen on one of the Far North’s most stunning and productive salmon rivers.

The River Borgie is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, dynamic and practical full time Head Bailiff to supervise the enforcement and day to daymanagement of the River Borgie salmon fishery.

The successful candidate will have a keen interest in salmon fishery management, and an appreciationand understanding of working in a remote, rural community.

The fishings are under single ownership/management and accommodate 6-10 rods. Accommodation for anglers is in two self-catering properties. The River Borgie will also be recruiting to the role of housekeeper for these properties. The role may suit a couple who would be able to take on both roles, however this will not preclude individuals from applying.

The role requires a high level of self-motivation and organisational skills and an ability to adapt to different tasks.

Whilst the qualifications below would be an advantage to undertaking the role, a lack of these qualifications is not in itself a barrier to applying:

- Full, clean UK driving license (essential)

- Firearms permit holder (essential)

- IFM Warranted Bailiff and/or experience in fishery protection duties

- Experience/qualification in electrofishing

- Chainsaw/brushcutting certification
