A Beatkeeper is sought for the Byrecleugh & Rawburn moor in the Scottish Borders.
The successful applicant will be self-motivated, have excellent communication skills
and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team of four.
The successful applicant will be responsible for the day to day running of a 2,500 acre
beat. A key priority will be enhancing grouse stocks by carrying out excellent habitat
management and predator control in accordance with legislation and best practice. The
beat also includes a well established low ground pheasant shoot, covering roughly one
third of the beat and delivering an average of six days each season.
Clean driving licence together with current firearms and shotgun licenses must be held.
