Having recently entered the Estate woodland into a Countryside Stewardship Scheme, the Dallam Tower Estate is looking to expand its Estate team to employ a second full time member to carry out the necessary management works as part of a wider role on the Estate. We are looking for someone with some experience in woodland management and deer and squirrel control will be a significant part of the role. We are a traditional agricultural estate and are looking to recruit someone with a strong affinity for the countryside, a good work ethic, lots of common sense and the ability to work alone or as part of a small team. This position will require some weekend work and is a physically demanding but rewarding role, set amongst beautiful countryside in the Arnside and Silverdale National Landscape.

The applicant must hold a full driving licence, as well as tickets for DSC1 & 2 and carcass handling, chainsaw maintenance, felling/cross cutting, shotgun and firearms certificates,. Strimming and brushcutting experience would be useful although not essential.

Salary commensurate with experience. Accommodation in the form of a two-bedroom cottage may be provided on the Estate to enable the applicant to properly fulfill their duties.

Applications should comprise a CV with a summary of experience and qualifications together with a covering letter emailed to estateoffice@dallamtower.com.
