Estate Gamekeeper & Grounds Maintenance

Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, motivated and forward thinking individual to maintain the Estates grounds alongside Gamekeeping on an established, exciting family shoot. This person will join the Sansaw Estate’s multi-faceted team, being wholly responsible for the upkeep of the Estates ground maintenance, wildlife and habitatmanagement and pheasant shoot (circa 12 Days). Experience in both sectors is preferred but not essential, with the right candidate being driven to achieve the set goals with the right management, whilst striving to go above and beyond expectations.

Job Description

The Estate seeks to appoint a Game Keeper and Grounds Maintenance person to look after and maintain the Estates Family Shoot, Woodland, Business Park and wider landscape. They will contribute towards a variety of tasks which will include and extend from the following:

– Groundskeeping– Woodland management – Hedge planting and maintenance– Fencing– Gamekeeping– Pheasant welfare and hygiene – Chain sawing– Spraying– Lawnmowing– Strimming– Pest control

Requirements

– Full UK Driving License (Essential)– Experience of groundskeeping and maintenance (Desirable)– Gamekeeping experience (Desirable)– Quadbike Certificate (Desirable)– Chainsaw Certificate (Desirable)– Spraying Certificate (Desirable)– Health and safety awareness and ability to assess risk– Forward thinking and self-motivated (Essential)

is interested in Gamekeeping and Groundskeeping. The position will be based on the Sansaw Estate in a beautiful environment just outside Hadnall in North Shropshire.

Interviews
