Livestock Manager Opportunity – North Yorkshire
We are seeking a forward-thinking and passionate individual to join our family farm and play a key role in shaping its future. This is an exciting opportunity to develop and manage a new regenerative livestock enterprise to run alongside our existing farming operations.
The successful candidate will take a hands-on role in:
• Assist in the development and management of a regenerative livestock program and mob grazing system.• Overseeing daily farm operations while contributing to long-term business planning.• Collecting and analysing both livestock and arable data to inform strategic decision-making.• Working closely with our team to ensure efficiency, sustainability, and innovation across all enterprises.

Key Responsibilities:
• Help to develop and implement a regenerative livestock enterprise across 500 acres.• Oversee livestock husbandry, performance and pasture management.• Manage financial reporting, budgeting, and cash flow planning for the farm.• Implement and oversee agri-environment schemes and contribute to crop rotation planning• Maintain and improve farm infrastructure, including fencing and water systems.• Operate and maintain farm machinery efficiently and safely.• Make day-to-day decisions and provide regular performance reports.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Proven experience in pasture-based cattle/sheep management.• Strong financial and data analysis skills (budgeting, accounting, forecasting, risk management, proficiency in Excel).• Excellent communication and leadership skills—able to work both independently and within a small team.• Attention to detail to maintain an organised and efficient work environment.• Ability to operate and maintain farm machinery effectively.
