groundskeeper/gardener/handyman - Ref 1068

We are looking for a groundskeeper/gardener/handyman to work a 40 hour week to work on a stunning Grade 1 listed estate.

Duties will include, but not be limited, to mowing, strimming, maintenance of gardens, gutters, drains, fencing and the estate water supply, as well as the ability to do ‘odd jobs’ inside the house when required. Drivers license essential. Chainsaw ticket preferred but not essential, so long as the right candidate is willing to get one, at our expense. Experience of, or ability to learn to, drive large mowers, tractors with loaders and trailers is required.

The ideal candidate will live locally to Launceston, as there may be occasions, and these will be rare, when help is required outside of normal working hours. Any such work will be paid additional overtime.

Salary starting at £18k per annum, but this will rise depending on age and relevant experience. Plus pension, 20 days annual leave (with bank holidays on top), sick pay, christmas bonus and the opportunity of working for understanding employers in a beautiful location.

Start date: mid-august, or as soon as possible after that.
