Allendale estates

We are seeking an efficient and capable groundskeeper to join our team to aid in the delivery of excellence across our multifaceted business. This is a varied manual role that is primarily grounds and landscape maintenance focused, but also involves general estates works, along with ad-hoc repairs. The role is ideally suited to an experienced farms, grounds or estates person, who has adaptable skills and can demonstrate experience in a similar role. It is essential to have a keen eye for detail, take pride in the work you undertake, whilst always ensuring a professional service. You will be able to turn your hand to a variety of tasks, work alone or as part of a small and dynamic team.

Main Areas of Responsibility

· To manage the lawns, grounds, and parks across the Estates; to include regular maintenance, repair, and presentation.

· Weed control.

· Operating Estate’s tractor with and without a trailer, to include the use of topping equipment.

· General estates maintenance work.

· Maintain and be responsible for the Estate workshop and yards.

· Maintain plant and equipment.

· Winter Maintenance; to include salt spreading and snow clearance.

· Responsible for the Biomass boiler wood chip supplies.

· Process Estate timber for firewood.

· Undertake any other tasks and duties reasonably required.

Who We are Looking For

Essential Experience/

Qualifications We would also like to see

· Demonstratable Skills in grounds, lawn, and

landscape maintenance.

· Tractor & Trailer operating.

· Full Clean Drives license.

· Ability to undertake minor repair, handy person tasks. · Certification in the use spraying equipment. · Certification in the use of chain saws.

Essential Skills / Knowledge We would also like to see

· Comply and assist in all Health and Safety, and

compliance, along with a good understanding of

risk assessments and method statements.

· Ability to keep clear and effective records.

· Basic Computer literacy.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Salary: £18,000 to £25,000 pa
