Overview

We’re looking for a reliable and adaptable person to help us run our 500-acre Scottish estate. You’ll handle everything from landscaping and farm duties to gamekeeping and general maintenance of our holiday cottages. Get ready for diverse tasks, flexible requirements and outdoor projects in any weather.

Package:

Salary £25,000 pa

2-bed house, electricity and gas included.

Duties and Responsibilities Summary

· Grounds & Landscaping: Maintain gardens, grounds, and structures. Clear leaves, manage weeds, cut and supply firewood and kindling, operate and maintain machinery and equipment. You will support the work and vision of an experienced gardener, providing care of gardens including planting, weeding, pruning, mowing and strimming.

· Gamekeeping: We run a small private shoot and game keeping duties form an important and enjoyable part of the role, particularly during autumn and winter months. You will support an experienced gamekeeper, with training and mentoring provided. No prior experience is required. Assist with bird care, habitat management, vermin control, and shoots.

· General Maintenance: Maintain condition and fix minor issues in houses, cottages, farm buildings. Minor joinery, stonework, painting, electrical, plumbing, drainage and guttering. Respond to maintenance requests. Holiday cottages compliance tests and record results. Maintain a tidy working environment, machinery and equipment.

· Farm Maintenance: Repair fences, maintain drainage and troughs.

Requirements

· Fluent English, 3+ years' experience, UK driving license, own vehicle.

· 40 hours per week

· Flexible and adaptable, willing to work weekends.
