The Reay Forest Estate, part of Grosvenor, is recruiting for a permanent and full time Estate Maintenance Worker / Stalker for the very remote, yet stunning Gobernuisgach Beat. We provide an excellent package with competitive rates of pay, a non-contributory pension, as well as free accommodation and council tax paid.
The tenants of the property also require support in the housekeeping, cleaning, tidying and cooking within the house, which would be advantageous for potential couples. We are happy to discuss this with candidates and can be flexible with the hours and timings of the housekeeping aspect to meet the needs of the successful individuals.
The estate is situated in the north west Highlands and is a traditional sporting estate famed for its deer stalking, fishing as well as its wild and remote beauty. This exciting and unique role offers the ability to combine your practical maintenance skills of maintaining properties, pathways and machinery with a passion for and competency in deer stalking with our tenants and their selected guests. With a solid track record in proactive and reactive property maintenance, you will ensure our properties are kept to a high standard whilst working with our Head Stalker to plan, organise and enjoy assisting with seasonal sporting activity. We are keen to learn of your experience and passion for improving the biodiversity and landscape, whilst welcoming applications from candidates equally wishing to enhance this breath-taking habitat.
Applicants will have experience in using a range of power tools, tractors, diggers, ATVs and possess a full, valid driving license. To fulfil the sporting nature of the role, a shotgun and firearms license are also required in addition to a Level 1 Deer Management Qualification.
The successful candidate will join a remote yet welcoming community and with accommodation being provided to meet your needs.
