The Reay Forest Estate, part of the Grosvenor Estate, is recruiting for a permanent and full time Maintenance Worker / Joiner. We provide an excellent package with competitive rates of pay, a non-contributory pension, as well as free accommodation and council tax paid.

The estate is situated in the north west Highlands and is a traditional sporting estate famed for its deer stalking, fishing as well as its wild and remote beauty.

The role will involve a range of labouring duties and maintenance of landscapes, buildings and infrastructure. This includes machine operation for track repairs, ditching and building works. You will also undertake painting, fencing and building works. The successful candidate should possess good joinery skills and have the ability to perform tasks including fabrication of items through to installation and both remedial and proactive joinery-based maintenance.

The role includes Ghillie duties through the sporting season, with candidates ideally being familiar with fishing, shooting and stalking – including working with Hill Ponies.

Applicants will have experience of using ATVs, tractors, diggers, power tools and possess a full, valid driving license. The successful candidate will join a remote yet welcoming community.
