Job Title: Administrative Assistant (Maternity Cover) – Strathconon Estates Ltd

Location: Strathconon Estates, Muir of Ord

Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm.

Contract: Six-month fixed-term maternity cover, initially from October to March, with

the possibility of extension depending on business needs. Part-time hours may be

considered.

Start date: 1 October 2026, with some flexibility.

About the Role

We are looking for an organised and proactive Administrative Assistant (Maternity

Cover) to join our small and welcoming team at Strathconon Estates. This is a varied

and hands-on role, supporting the day-to-day running of the Estate Office, providing a

friendly front-of-office presence, and helping to ensure everything operates smoothly

and efficiently. Strathconon Estates is a busy and diverse Highland estate with a focus

on nature conservation and responsible land stewardship. Working as part of a close-

knit team, you will play an important role in supporting the Estate’s operations. You will

report to the Office Manager and, together, form the administrative team supporting the

wider Estate. A professional approach, along with a high level of discretion and

confidentiality, is essential in this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide a professional and welcoming reception service.

• Manage incoming calls, emails and visitor enquiries.

• Assist with general office admin, including filing, record keeping and data entry.

• Support finance processes, including raising and processing invoices.

• Maintain records, including the contractor database, servicing schedules and

staff training records.

• Coordinate diaries, meetings and take minutes where required.

• Assist with meetings and hospitality, including teas, coffees and room setup.

• Help maintain a tidy, well-organised office environment.

• Support the Estate Manager and the wider Estate as directed.

About You

• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

• Confidence using Word, Excel and general IT systems.

• Ability to work closely with and support a small management team.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to manage a varied workload and prioritise tasks effectively.• Professional, reliable and takes pride in their work.

• Maintains a high level of discretion and confidentiality.
